Tragic Irish Champs.
Sheeps Head
Picked up Martin at the airport and then drove down to Cork airport to collect Éadaoin (Mary picked up Aoife earlier). Arrived close to midnight at Ahakista so it was straight to bed. The house had a few nice touch’s.
Up early to be greeted with a bright sky. A perfect day for running around the mountainside.
The tragedy was the untimely passing of Dave Richardson. He seemed to have suffered a heart attack after checking controls for the long distance race. Cork O cancelled the rest of the events. We all felt so sorry for Anyta having to cope with the aftermath of such shocking news. 
Mike and Catherine stayed with us. 
Stopped off in Ovens, outside Cork, for coffee on the way home.
